Does anyone know exactly how many needleless connectors there are right now on the market? Also, we would like to know where you got the information from.
I am currently working on a new manuscript for AJN and have created a table of all of them that I can find. I have found 7 brands in the negative displacement category; 6 brands of positive displacement; 12 brands in the neutral displacement category with one more pending FDA clearance. This is coming from my own research. Lynn
Thanks Lynn, would you mind sharing a copy of your list with us. We are also working on a list/reference on needleless connectors. By the way, which do you prefer and why?
Sorry I can not share this list yet as it is part of a manuscript I am submitting. I do not make product endorsements for any type of product. One product may work well at one hospital, then fail at another one. The reasons are wide variations in personnel skill mix and patient populations, along with training and educational support, etc. Lynn
