Currently, we change our adminstration tubing every 96 hours and infusated with or without additatives every 24 hours. There are exceptions. To date I have not found any recommendations on how often to change solution bags with and without additatives I am curious of what is the practice in other acute care facilities.
I would appreciate any policies on either infiltrate or extrasvation.
