The infusion center I work at has a patient who recieves Fabrazyme every 2 weeks for the past 2 years. He has Fabry's disease. The infusion takes 4 hours. the rate is also titrated. I would like to know what other facilities are doing. Can it infuse in shorter amount of time. The patient is also required to stay for an hour post infusion. Any feedback is appreciated.

In the past we have given this drug, and after initial therapy has been accomplished (usually 1 year without complications), out protocol allowed us to shorten over time down to 1 hour plus 30 minute post infusion observation.
Can you please give your titration for a well established patient. We start at 50ml for 15 ", 75 ml for 15", 100 ml for 15 ", then to 315 ml per hour. It is a 500 ml bag and it still take 2 1/2 hours. We have slowly been increasing the last titration at each visit. I'm wondering if the titration should be increased (the 50, 75, 100) or if we should keep increasing the final titration. Hope this makes sense.
