I recently became aware of the organization NAPNES, National Association of Practical Nurse Education and Service, with an approved courseware(online) for LPN/LVN post licensure IV therapy certification program. It appears the certification is good for 3 years. Is anyone familiar with this certification or had any staff obtain this certification? Would be interested in any feedback.
This is a certification from a professional organization for LPN/LVNs. It has been around for a long time but i dont recall ever working with or knowing a nurse that took it. Also notice this is taken from any computer so there is no proctor or much security as one could easily have books in front of them to answer the questions. Could the questions also be printed and shared? Not sure about that Passing by 80% required. This is the same as my company uses for our online contact hours. Eager to hear about others experience with it. Lynn

Thanks, Lynn. I was surprised to see that it is a certification, not just a certificate. There is a multiple-choice final exam that is proctored by Castle Testing, but I don't see any instructions for continued certification requirements. I'd be interested in hearing of others experiences as well.
