Has anyone used or currently use Bio Seal for hemostasis and how do you like it? Benefits of use, cost of product vs decrease in drsg changes, or other input would be appreciated?
Love this product...comes 24 per case and the cost is around 460.00. However the dressing does not have to be changed for 7 days so you are saving "nurse hours" on dressing changes as well as dressings themselves. They have a web site Biosealcvc.com I believe, or google for the information. Since we have been using we no longer have "bleeding" issues at all with lines. There are recommended practices and there nurse educator, Tifton, is happy to come and inservice. You will not be disappointed!!!
have used it a handfull of times for excessive bleeding and has worked very well...not sure about cost and don't use it routinely
