Does anyone know of any evidence that supports the use of positive pressure versus neutral pressure needleless connectors?

We just finished trialing the clear neutral pressure clave and are trying to decide if we should change, looking for input.

Aren't there many brands of clear connectors? Are you referring to the clear Microclave?

There are no published

There are no published studies comparing outcomes of a positive to a neutral displacement NC. In fact there are no studies at all on any of the neutral displacement NCs. So you decision must be based on your own internal data collection. Look at catheter outcomes such as BSI and occlusion before and after you change products to create your own evidence. Lynn
