I would love to speak with someone about the IV administration of radioisotopes. If anyone has experience with this in the radiology dept please contact me at [email protected] or by phone at 1-866-358-7861. If you know of any references or resources for the administration of radioisotopes, please let me know how I can find them. I have just done a lengthy search on Google and can not locate much information, other than they are give IV. Thanks, Lynn
There are Practice Standards for Nuclear Medicine on the ASRT website and also an Advisory Opinion specific to Power Injection through PICCs and CVCs. I will send links to your email.

Thanks, but these do not provide all the information I need. I would still love to speak with someone who has actually given radioisotopes. Lynn

Lynn,
Not sure if you will be able to find someone on this site to help you, as most (if not all) Radiolsotopes are given by Nuclear Med RTs, not RNs, except in rare cases. You may want to reach out to ARIN, the Association for Radiologic and Imaging Nursing to see if there are any RNs there that can help you, they have a listserv, or the ASRT to see if you can find a similiar listserv or they can point you to some Nucliear Med RTs that can help you.
