This is a great forum for professionals in IV therapy to ask questions and receive feedback. Seeking information is wonderful but I have noticed there is a good deal of "information" doled out by product employees who literally pose as nurses. Sales professionals can be a wealth of information, but if they are professional they should identify themselves as such and not pose as nurses with statements like "I do this with my patients" or "I like to use this".
If your role in IV therapy is from a sales perspective, please help the licensed health care professionals on this site do their due diligence when seeking information by providing employment disclosure! To not do so is at best unethical and at worst deceiving to those who have patient contact.
I recently asked a contributor on this site who was speaking very authoritatively, and giving false information about a competitor, for disclosure and.....no response! This should also serve as a reminder for nurses that this site should start their exploration for information, but never finish it.

Message to Nurses (Disclosure on this site)
Thank you. I see this too & think it lowers the value of this forum. These folks may have valuable information to share but they should disclose their affiliations.
I do agree with this. For all continuing education and publications, the author or presenter now has to disclose that information. So I suspose I will have to add a list of my clients to my signature. For your information now, I work for all companies and do not sign a contract that contains a non-compete clause. My company policy is now and has always been that the patient and patient care is my bottom line and not the product. Sarah, maybe you need to give us your ideas on this since this is your site. Thanks, Lynn

Lynn,
To be clear I was certainly not referencing you at all! I think you set a great example when discussing products that you are involved with. I was talking about people who have zero information on their signature.
