Does your facility obtain a CXR to confirm placement prior to use on patients admitted/ or in the ED with a central line? If so, on all line types or specific ones and what is the name of your facility?
We have a large organization… Some of our facilities have in their policy / practice to obtain a CXR to confirm placement prior to using a line that was inserted prior to admission/ or use in the ER and other’s do not.
As some of you know there are no set recommendations on when to repeat a CXR. I have been asked if other facilities outside of our organization have this in their practice/ policy.
