Sizing PICC to vessel

 I am looking for some current articles that anyone may have handy that is edivence based on sizing the catheter to a vessel to help reduce catheter complications such as DVT specifically.

 I am answering from home and don't have access to my reference database, however there are many studies on PICCs showing that smaller sizes produce better outcomes with fewer complications. I am not aware of any study showing clinical outcomes when the catheter size only consumes XX percent of the vein size, however the basic principle of infusion therapy has always been smaller and shorter catheters are better.
