Are you certain it is a filter in the superior vena cava? Most of the time these are placed in the inferior vena cava. If inferior, there should be no issue because the PICC would not come close to it. If indeed it is in the superior vena cava, I agree with you that any CVAD correctly placed at the CAJ would interfere with the filter. Lynn
