Does anyone know why one would use a double oblique angle to trim a cath? I had never heard of it. Thought this line was torn until I found the insertion record.

I'll be watching to see the answers on this thread. It looks like a thrombus/infection risk to me and I can't imagine a benefit.

No good reason for this in the literature and all manufacturers instruct to use a blunt cut. Lynn
