No replies to this message yet makes me wonder if no one is doing antibiotics with a CVAD repair. The goal is to have these repairs be extremely rare. I see you are from peds and that adds other considerations. Next issue would be what type of CVAD are you asking about? Repair mandates careful risk vs benefit assessment. New PICC? Serious problem if it fails that fast. Old PICC? Replace might be better, depending on remaining length of therapy. Tunneled, cuffed catheter could be worth the risk. I have never seen ABX for and CVAD repair. Lynn
