PICC Insertion Statistics

Can anyone give me some statistics or maybe send me in the right direction of where I can find them?

How many PICCs were placed in 2016 or previous years in the US?

How many PICCs were placed in 2016 or previous years in other countries?

How many pediatric PICCs were placed in 2016 or previous years?

How many pediatric PICCs were placed needing sedation?

There is no public database

There is no public database that has this information. I think their is a private database but it requires a fee to participate. You can find numbers of various VADs that are sold in the USA, which is numbers that comes from manufactuers sales information. Those reports come from companies that collect and report on marketing data and cost thousands of dollars to purchase. Lynn

There are several marketing

There are several marketing companies that sell those reports but I can't recall the names of them. They are in the neighborhood of $5000 per report. You can probably find them with a google search for marketing data. Just remember this is a report based on sales not insertions. Lynn
