Our hospital has a policy of using Sage CHG bath wipes for any patients with CVLs. Has anyone run into a policy that states that CHG bath wipes should not be used for neutropenic pts with CVLs?

I noticed that no one has responded to your question. CHG wipes have been studied mainly in critical care and long term care. I have not read those studies in a while but I would guess that these patient populations included neutropenic patients. I have never seen it written in a policy and the INS SOP does not address this. I am curious as to what led to you question. Can you share that?
