In my opinion, I would always clamp each lumen used intermittently and with each patient visit assess the integrity of all connections on the IV set used for infusion and/or the needleless connectors on the unused lumens. Just remember the flush/disconnect/clamp sequence must be correct for the type of needleless connector being used. Lynn
