Do any of you use central lines by Edwards LifeScience? We have had a few with leaking hubs and are trying to determine whether the problem is the catheter or the needleless connector we use.
Thanks for responding if you have any experience with this catheter.

Edwards LifeScience 3 Lumen Central line
Are you directly applying any type of alcohol to the catheter hub? Is anyone using a hemostat to grasp the hub to remove the needleless connector? Alcohol could cause minute cracks in the plastic, depending upon the specific type of plastic being used. Excessive pressure from the hemostat could cause hub damage. Just a couple of suggestions. We do use the Edwards central line and have not been informed of any problems such as you describe.
