I am interested in information in regards to home infusion of Remicade. I see that this has been posted in the past but interested in any new or updated information. Any supporting literature or information would be appreciated.

My daughter is on Remicade and she must have it infused at an infusion center. Home infustion was not an option. They monitor her pretty closely with ever treatment, looking for allergic reaction. I am not aware of Remicade infusions in the home. She is a pediatric patient, so I can not speak for the adult world.
Remicade is done in the home safely and often. My company's policiy is that the first 3 doses should be given in a controlled setting [infusion clinic or MD office with emergency supplies] but subsequent doses can certainly be given in the home. I would consider that the preferred setting.
