Huber needle; silicone or not?

is there any evidence to suggest that it is best practice to utilize a Huber needle that is siliconized vs one that is not?

 I have never seen anything

I have never seen anything supporting this. There is very little evidence about port access needles at all. I do think most needles would have some coatings to make them easier to slide into the port septum. That thick septum is also made of dense silicone. I am wondering if the silicone on silicone would allow the needle to dislodge more easily. but don't have any information on that issue. Lynn
