Is anyone using the new Hybrid Xcela PICC with dedicated line for CVP monitoring? Wondering if it is accurate with CVP readings etc and overall thoughts about the product. Also interested in any studies out there on it if anyone can direct me to them. Thanks
Use of a PICC for CVP monitoring has been documented. This hybrid PICC means that one lumen does not have the pressure sensitive valve in the external catheter hub, while all other lumens do have this valve. There should be no problem with measuring accurate CVPs on the lumen without the valve, but only on that specific lumen. Lynn

I have used the Xcela hybrid and LOVED it! Wish I still had access to it.
