PICC insertion

Definition of maximum sterile barrier precautions for PICC insertion includes"full body sterile drape".   Any alternatives used for Peds patients that may not be sedated or small infants?

Are you asking if it is

Are you asking if it is acceptable to use less that full body drapes for these patients? Or are you asking for suggestions for specific drapes to accomplish full body draping in these special populations? Maybe I am tired but I can read it both ways. Sorry, Lynn

draping

What type and configuration for draping of smaller patients during PICC insertion is used to accomplish "max sterile barrier precautions"?  Do you use towels, paper drapes, single or multiple, fenestrated or not?
