SIR Benchmark for catheter-related DVT's

Does anyone know what the current SIR benchmark is for catheter related DVT's? Or where I can find it?

Thanks in advance!

 The most common meaning of

The most common meaning of SIR is standardized infection ratio. Are you asking about some other meaning for SIR? I am not aware of any standardized method for benchmarking data on VAD associated DVT's. Lynn

Thank you Lynn!

Thank you Lynn!

No, you were correct in that I was referring to the Society of Interventional Radiology.

Appreciate your feedback!

 Completely forgot about that

Completely forgot about that SIR. But I did not find any official information from that organization on benchmark data when I did the literature search to revise the VAD associated thrombosis standard for the INS document just about a month ago. There are several recent studies published in radiology and other journals reporting on their rates of DVT, both clinically silent and those with overt signs and symptoms. There is no national database that would give us benchmarking data for DVT like there is with CLABSI rates through the CDC. Lynn
