Are there any nurse-led CVC/PICC teams utilzing sliding lung to rule out pneumothorax when inserting acutely placed CVC's?

  It is a very simple 

  It is a very simple  Ultrasound scan of the lung fields used to show an abbsence of PTX. Dpending on your state of licensure and practice, the scan falls under the scope of practice for nurses to perform following demonstration of competence. The scan is used as an assessment tool, not to diagnose.
