I just returned from AVA. Wow what an experience. I came home with a bunch or knowledge on what we need to do to make things better for our patients with central and peripheral lines.
Here is my call out to this group. Currently I am one person in our facility. I would like to increase my staff but i am looking for some help. First I know there are many people many moons ago where in the same place I was.
So i am looking for help with a business plan, an executive summary and to find out what your team does as duites throughout the day. At AVA some teams do , Does all IV's ultrasound guided IV, places PICC, all cental line dressing changes, pulls all central lines. rounds on Central and Peripheral lines, and is part of subspeciality rounding to make sure the patient has the correct line for the therapy they are recieving.
Next I am looking for Data sheets to show the executive team information regarding central lines and peripheral lines.
I know this is alot , but as someone said at AVA there is no need to reinvent the wheel , reach out to your resources. :)
Thanks for all your help and look forward to hearing from you all.
A good resource is from INS "Infusion Therapy Team Implementation Module." I bought mine years ago I hope its updated by now. You are in a great place to build a team that fits your organization, try to make your own so it will be successful. You have to be patient this is a slow process.
Dont forget the need for research in your proposal.
Thank you !!! Were do I find this module ?? Thanks Cindy
